“A Biblical Worldview: A Key Component for Job Training Program in 5th Ward”

Caring Friends, Inc. is a partner with Integrity Plus, a business
development initiative helping unemployed and at risk adults get on their
financial feet in a practical but transformative way.

Men and women who are looking for a job and/or a Lawn Maintenance business
opportunity start with an 8 week Bible Study led and directed by Wilford
Darden, a community leader at work in Houston’s 5th Ward.

A Lawn Maintenance business opportunity is provided for some of the study
graduates who want to start and develop a business. From how to use and
maintain commerical weedeaters and mowers to keeping track of revenue and
expenses, critical training is provided to insure commitment to excellence.

City of Houston housing lots are offered via bidding process to qualified
lawn maintenance businesses like IPEET. At present IPEET has over 100+ city
lots that they need to mow.

Donors of Caring Friends, Inc. have in the last three weeks provided a
commerical weedeater, a commercial blower, a new zero turn 54″ lawn mower, a
32″ walk behind commercial mower, and monies to repair a used zero turn
engine.

Three trained mowing crews are now at work with each crew being accountable
for both their revenues and expenses via a cost accounting process.
