Caring Friends, Inc. is a partner with Sylvan Rodriguez Elementary School
in Houston, a 95%+ Hispanic population in a largely immigrant community.
Rodriguez school counsellor Mrs. Zaragosa is a committed, hard working
leader who makes a difference among at risk immigrant children and
families, facilitating the Caring Friends-Rodriguez partnership to promote a Good
Reader Program, a Thanksgiving Dinner initiative and episodic family crisis
donations. Caring Friends volunteers Laura and Pamela give guidance and energy to this work.
