Caring Friends director John Collier was part of a Houston team with Sunny Sharma and Vicki Brentin that met February 27th in Port au Prince with 35 Haitian hospital administrators, medical directors, and doctors to vet the need and to present ideas for a medical equipment repair center in Haiti
Caring Friends has been a substantive founding partner in establishing the first ever medical equipment repair school in Haiti from 2011-14. Forty three technicians from 23 hospitals have received training from a repair school set up from funds given by Rotary International, The Rotary Club of West U and local Houston Rotarians, and from substantive donations from Caring Friends, Inc.
