As an adjunct partner with Urban Outreach, Inc.’s apartment ministry program, Caring Friends is privileged to support the READERS ARE LEADERS initiative in their excellent after school apartment ministries.
Many children have few if any books in their homes and reading at grade level is difficult. When the language at home is different than the language in books at school, it is very easy to fall behind in reading English.
Building libraries for children in 25 different apartment club houses is a challenge, but this is an opportunity for Caring Friends to partner with and encourage Urban Outreach with children’s books and financial support.
