1. $50 Funds 50 PAMPHLETS to use in at risk schools: the focus is on Initiative, Commitment, Hard Work, Owning My Actions, Organize Your Time, Serve Others, Endure Tough Times. The American Hero: Booker T. Washington

2. $100 helps a newly arrived refugee student in SW Houston Over 90 Rice University students are working weekly to help refugees students learn English, discover the US educational system requirements, how to apply for college, etc.

3. $25 or $50 CCSC gift coupons for victims of fire, domestic violence, and for at risk children & newly arrived refugees. Purchased from CCSC’s Sunshine Resale Shop in Bellaire for clothing, household items.

4. $500 gives a children’s classroom in Haiti clean water to drink via installing biosand filters and teacher training, and includes signage “In Memory of <or honor> of _(you name up to two person/s)”

5. $2000 provides clean water for an entire orphanage in Haiti via installing biosand filters . Includes 3 days of staff training, signing a contract for facility to maintain filters, and classroom laminated visuals to teach the water cycle and good hygiene. Signage ‘In Memory of or In Honor of also included if desired.”

6. $200 sponsors supplies and snacks for one month in an after school apartment ministry in an at-risk neighborhood in Houston.

7. $100 funds three Character based curriculum notebooks for after school ministries in at-risk apartments: Children study and learn about how LISTENING and OBEDIENCE and GENEROSITY and TRUTHFULNESS contribute to success at home, in school, and when you get a job.

8. $250 funds Haitian technician partial room/board/tuition scholarship for 2 weeks of training for medical equipment repair technicians learning to troubleshoot and repair EKG machines, sterilizers, blood pressure cuffs, etc, etc.

9. $25 funds new books for award winning readers in one (1) classroom at schools that have many at-risk but capable SW Houston children: Best Readers and Most Improved Readers in a classroom get to choose a book to receive from Scholastic Book Lists. Cunningham Elementary has 15 classrooms; Sylvan Rodriguez Elementary has 39+ classrooms.
