Leading the Way with Reading Incentives

Caring Friends is promoting reading incentives programs at underserved schools like Cunningham Elementary, Sylvan Rodriguez, and Yellowstone Academy. For children who cannot read, the street vultures long to connect to those who drop out of school, failing to point out that the road of illiteracy is often a four lane highway to prison.

Edmund Burke’s famous saying hits hard!

“…all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”

Caring Friends is sponsoring a “Best Reader” recognition and a “Most Improved Reader” in over 60 classrooms in the three pilot schools.

With over 13,000-15,000 ex-offenders returning to Harris County each year, we must do something rather than nothing.

For each $400 donation we will add another school, putting one more ripple in the educational pond, encouraging students, teachers and principals who are LEADING THE WAY!
