Caring Friends looks for those LEADING THE WAY addressing areas ofconcern…like the concern for men who are addicts who support their habits via male prostitution.
For some these men are throw-a-ways, deserving their plight and their
circumstances. For others these men are someone’s son or grandson, brother
or nephew, high school friend or next door neighbor, trapped and enslaved.
Caring Friends partners with Emmaus Ministries, as they are LEADING THE WAY
reaching out to those on the streets of Houston who want to escape this
crippling, devastating way of life that often leads to catastrophic illness
and a deadening emotional paralysis.
Through an interviewing and filtering process, the men who come to a once a
week meal and time of meditation and biblical reflection are offered
opportunity to transition out of this environment.
