The first annual Booker T. Washington award presentations were given to contest winners at Pro-Vision Charter School in Houston. Pro-Vision youth wrote essays about how the life and hardships of Booker T. Washington might inspire them to be all that they are intended to be through hard work, strong character, and intentional commitment. Winners received monetary awards.
