MISSION STATEMENT

Caring Friends learns from the underserved, targets hand-up responses to human need, serves without regard to race, gender or religious affiliation, and derives its ethos from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

In Houston we focus on children at risk, offer awards to refugee youth and their collegiate mentors, promote in school and after school reading initiatives, support ex-offender re-entry programs, encourage the repair of used medical equipment for use in developing countries, and target preventive healthcare efforts among Latinos.

In Haiti we focus on vocational training to address the national crisis over broken medical equipment, give attention to educational and health scholarships for at risk children, and promote clean water installations and hygiene-sanitation training in elementary schools, clinics and orphanages.
